minimal amenities chargeable water
i was frustrated by the minimal modern amenities. i expected more for the price. there was no bottled water in the room as a courtesy and i had to get a bottle from the mini bar. it was chargeable!! also, there was no iron or ironing board in the room.

awkward tv limited plugs
The tv placement was... questionable. it sat at some weird angle on the wall, rendering it virtually unwatchable. i only found two plug points in the room and they were so difficult to reach it was like a treasure hunt. the noise was pretty intense too. Every time a door slammed in the hallway, my whole room vibrated. honestly, i was like i was back in college.

a good boutique stay
friendly staff quiet atmosphere
i appreciated the friendly staff and central location. the older features and decor added to the charm , AND the bed WAS comfortable. i liked THE complimentary tea set and the overall quiet atmosphere.
the stairs are somewhat precarious , AS the building is quite old. this could pose a challenge with mobility issues or those carrying heavy luggage.

window seating nice staff slanted floor cramped room
The room included a lovely box window seating area. The facilities provided met my needs. The staff were very nice, always ready to help.
The hotel room floor was noticeably slanted. It made walking around inside a little difficult. The room felt quite cramped, especially with luggage for two people.

eateries location kind staff helpful staff precarious stairs hot room handheld shower
the staff were very kind. they were also helpful . the location had many eateries only moments away. this was perfect for dining options.
the stairs was a bit precarious. it felt a little dangerous to navigate. my room felt boiling hot. i turned down the aircon control, but it stayed hot from the radiator. there was no actual shower. i found only a handheld telephone style shower in the bath with no screen.
